Gluten Free Holiday Turkey

The easiest, most delicious turkey you can ever make for the Holidays... specially in a rush!

Joe's Holiday Turkey

The herbs used to make this recipe add so much flavor to this easy to make turkey. It is so easy to make that any beginner can get it done and impress everyone while creating a master centerpiece for your holiday Dinner table.

Cooking time: varies

Serves up to 12 people, depending on the size of the turkey


Prepare the rub by chopping fresh rosemary, thyme and sage -- you can do as much as you want of each. Double the quantity of the prepared rub for fowls over 16 pounds.

Rub Ingredients

  • Fresh rosemary

  • fresh sage

  • fresh thyme

  • 1/2 tbs of garlic powder

  • 1/2 tbs of onion powder

  • 1 tbs paprika

  • 1 tsp ground sage

  • 8 tbs sea salt

  • 4 tbs of black pepper

  • 1 tsp of pepper flakes.

Method for the Rub

  1. Chop fresh rosemary, thyme and sage

  2. In a bowl add the chopped herbs and the rest of the ingredients.

  3. Mix well.

Other Ingredients

  • A whole turkey

  • 3 lemons

  • 3 heads of garlic

  • 8 cloves of garlic (peeled)

  • Olive oil

Method for the Turkey

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

  2. Pat dry turkey with paper towels.

  3. Rub turkey generously with Olive oil.

  4. Halve the lemons and garlic heads.

  5. Fill turkey cavity with at least 3 tbs of the rub.

  6. Insert all lemons and garlic head inside the cavity.

  7. Apply the rest of the rub all over the turkey.

  8. With a knife make small incisions in the turkey.

  9. Insert a garlic clove in each incision.

  10. Place turkey in baking/roasting dish and bake according to the following instructions:

After the time is up or the turkey's interior temperature reaches 165 degrees F, remove the turkey from the oven and cover with tin foil until serving time.
